Recipe by @jessheretoeat
Ingredients:
- Sprinkles
- 75 mini marshmallows
- 140 g dark chocolate wafers
- 75 lucky charms marshmallows
- 2 candy canes, smashed into pieces
- 1 tsp matcha powder (see note below)
- 280 g white chocolate wafers, divided
- 15 packets hot chocolate mix (see note below)
Instructions:
Molding:
1. Melt dark chocolate wafers in a small bowl
2. Follow package instructions
3. Paint a layer of the chocolate into each mold (I used 2½” hemispherical silicone molds)
4. Paint a second layer once first layer has set
5. Cover up any transparent areas and work quickly
6. Chocolate will harden when it cools
7. Refrigerate molds for 5 min
8. Carefully remove chocolate from molds (makes 5 dark chocolate bombs)
9. Repeat with 140 g white chocolate wafers (this makes 5 white chocolate bombs)
10. Repeat with 140 g white chocolate wafers
11. Mix in the matcha powder (this makes 5 matcha bombs)
Assembly:
1. Warm up a small pan on low heat
2. Place a half mold onto the pan
3. Slightly melt the edges to clean imperfections
4. Fill the half mold with a packet of hot chocolate mix
5. Add 5 mini marshmallows
6. Add 5 lucky charms marshmallows
7. Add some candy cane pieces
8. Add some sprinkles
9. Place the other half mold onto the pan
10. Slightly melt the edges to clean imperfections
11. Quickly seal molds to create sphere
12. Repeat with remaining molds
13. Let them cool and set
14. Decorate however you like
15. Enjoy with a hot cup of milk
Notes:
- Fill each white chocolate bomb with 1-2 tsp white chocolate powder or 1 packet hot white chocolate mix instead of 1 packet hot chocolate mix if you want a richer white chocolate flavor
- Same with 1-2 tsp matcha powder instead of 1 packet hot chocolate mix if you want a richer matcha flavor
